Nature inspires me. Uninfluenced by human constructs, natural cycles are the pure embodiment of hope. Shoots emerge; blossoms dance; bees buzz; water drips from trees, and I am compelled to paint.

With a designer’s eye and keen color sense, I express myself in various mediums. I keep a journal of sketches, subject ideas, composition plans, and color notes to inform larger works.

In acrylics, I build layers of transparent glazes to achieve depth and richness—beginning with a simple foundation of complementary colors. For watercolors, I prefer surfaces such as Aquaboard or Smooth Clayboard, which allows me to overlay a crisp graphic ink image, then scratch accents into the white clay.

My work has been exhibited in Monterey, CA & in Seattle, Bellingham, Lynden, Edison, & Edmonds, WA.
